This course is designed for people who want to study at an English speaking Further Education College or University but who have not yet achieve a level to enable them to attend an IELTS Test course, which is normally at a minimum of Upper Intermediate in General English.
Our Foundation course will enable you to study towards this level and concentrates on Speaking, Listening, Reading and with particular emphasis on writing skills. When you have finished this course, you should be ready to join our regular IELTS Course, at a higher level, to prepare you for the widely recognised IELTS Test which is accepted by university admissions throughout the world as an indicator of your proficiency in the English language.

You can join the course on any Monday and study for anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks. A minimum of 4 weeks preparation is recommended. We will inform you of the most suitable time to progress to the higher level course. Homework is set and self study is encouraged.
