When we receive your enrolment form, tuition fees and confirmation that you have a visa for the UK, we will find a suitable host family for you.

We want you to be happy with your host family, so please tell us on the Pre-Enrolment form if you want a specific kind of host family. Many British families have pet animals and do not allow smoking in the house.

Accommodation with a host family costs £ 95.00 each week (£ 115.00 each week in July and August). This includes Bed, Breakfast and Evening meal, with packed lunch at weekends.

We recommend that students live with a host family for the first few weeks of their stay in Bournemouth. When students are familiar with the town and have made friends, they may want to move to self-catering or rented accommodation. They can choose to live alone or with other students. The average rent is usually £ 60.00 £ 75.00 per week. Students will have extra expenses, such as food, electricity, gas and water to pay in rented accommodation.
So living in rented accommodation can cost the same, or more, than living with a host family.

Activities
Students at Charminster UK School of English work very hard from Monday to Friday, so they like to relax and enjoy their free time in the evenings and at weekends.

At Charminster UK School of English, we have a social programme of different activities for our students. We have regular karaoke evenings, with prizes. Games evenings are popular too and students play darts, pool and the old English game of skittles, which is similar to Ten Pin Bowling, but more fun!. In the summer months, we have barbecues and Beach Volleyball
